Burlesque Beauties – A Super Sassy Styled Photo Shoot in Hampshire

So, a while back, me and a group of scantily clad women got together at the amazing Grenville Hall in Droxford, deep in the heart of the Meon Valley, and rocked out the most amazing Burlesque shoot.

The Burlesque beauties, were from the dance troupe Miss Silk Seduction and her Lusty Lesquettes and came all the way from Bournemouth especially for the photo shoot.  The girls wore their own outfits and applied their own make-up, but the brilliant vintage hair styling was provided by the lovely Claire from Uptown Curls.

We all worked really hard, but we played hard too and had an absolutely brilliant day.  So if you are a Burlesque artist looking to build your portfolio, or would just love the experience of getting all dressed up, styled and treated to the BlueCloud experience, we’d LOVE to hear from you.

In the meantime, enjoy these images …

Love & blue skies

Grace & Daniel’s Meon Valley Wedding – A Beautiful Day in Hampshire

Hi folks!  Sorry it’s been rather quiet on the blog front but all that’s about to change as I am about to share some images from Grace & Daniel’s wonderful wedding day with you.

Remember our summer?  You know – that incredibly hot weekend back in August?  Well, instead of sunning ourselves on the beach & topping up our tans, Mark & I were privileged to be asked to shoot Grace & Daniel’s big day.  We had such a fabulous time; from the minute we arrived at the bride & groom’s respective houses to the lovely traditional church ceremony.  The fun continued at the reception (a beautifully decorated marquee in the pretty garden of the bride’s parents’), with great speeches & a romantic first dance.  Grace was such a beautiful bride & looked stunning in her dress, & Danny was every part the handsome groom, looking smart in his uniform.

To see ‘love’s young dream’  is a beautiful thing & it is evident that Grace & Daniel are truly, deeply, madly in love.  Family & friends travelled far & wide from places as far away Scotland & Australia to be a part of their special day & here are just a few of those images ….

I absolutely love this next image … it was totally unposed & yet despite the obvious distractions of the hose reel & satellite dish, looks so good.  And they were only trying to find some shade to cool down ….

We managed to take Grace & Daniel ‘away from it all’ for a few minutes to let them catch their breath & share a few tender moments together ….

The speeches were very funny yet filled with so much emotion …

And then, in front of their emotional guests, the day was completed with a romantic first dance ….

Grace & Daniel – we wish you a lifetime of health, wealth & happiness & a ton of love, laughter & fun ….  Thank you for letting us be part of your special day.

Forever blue skies.

BlueCloud Photography Star In Training Film With Tamara Peel

Well, a while ago, Mark & I had a brilliant one to one training day with the super talented & award winning photographer Tamara Peel.  We arrived not knowing quite what to expect but Tamara & her assistant Sarah soon put us at ease & we quickly got stuck in.  After lots & lots of questions, some yummy snacks & plenty of tea & coffee it was time to meet our first models, the lovely Emily & Laura.  After a few shots inside we went to explore Tamara’s outside rural studio – deserted workshops, dilapidated sheds & peeling painted doors formed the backdrop for the first half of our shoot – & then it was corn fields, big old barns & moody skies for the next.  The girl’s were naturals & with Tamara’s knowledge, we managed to get some great shots.  Here are a few of our shots of the gorgeous sisters  ….

Then it was time for lunch, more questions, more scooby snacks & then back to work.  Our models for our afternoon shoot were super-cool couple Chloe & Rich.  Their eclectic mix of clothes made for an individual & interesting look.  Off we went again in search of unusual locations & brilliant backdrops & found pelnty.  Here is a selection of our images from this fun fashionista session ….

While we were chatting, shooting, munching & laughing, Tamara’s lovely assistant Sarah was filming us.  It was a bit unnerving at first, but then in the end we forgot the camera was there & just got on with it; so imagine our delight when Tamara uploaded a short film, showcasing a typical one to one training day with her – starring yours truly & Mark.  Please check out this fab little video – we can’t recommend it highly enough.  We had such a great time, worked hard, laughed hard &  learnt soo much.  Thank you Tamara – you’re a star!

Grace and Daniel – A Fun Pre-Wedding Shoot in Hampshire

Hello again!

Well today, I have the pleasure of sharing some images of the gorgeous Grace and Daniel from their recent Pre-Wedding Shoot.  We have the honour of shooting their wedding in a couple of weeks time and in order to get to know them better and they us, we hooked up with them one afternoon a couple of weeks ago with the sole intention of having some fun and getting them to relax in front of the camera.  And here are the results ….

Romantic, intimate shots are always a must …. but you’ve got to capture those fun and frivolous moments too ….

Such a beautiful bride to be and handsome groom ….

And what better way to end the shoot, than with a few precious minutes with their adorable son Dylan ….  what a cutie!

Beautiful Blooms – Floral Photography in Hampshire

Hello there!

Well I’m not sure that many of you know that in my previous life I owned a retail florist shop in Wickham in Hampshire called Lupins.  I absolutely adored running the shop as one of my greatest passions in life is flowers. Anyway, not having had much to do with flowers over the last three years, I decided to have a ‘play’ to see if I could still cut the mustard.  I am happy to report that I was very pleased with the outcome & then had the added pleasure of photographing my designs the following day.  Here are a few of the images from my floral ‘play date’ in this short but sweet blog post …. I should also say, that I am available for weddings, funerals, christenings & bar-mitzvahs ….  No seriously.  I am.

Most of the flowers are from my wholesaler, but the beautiful white hydrangeas are from my garden ….

Gorgeous deep pink calla lilies add some fab colour & a touch of architectural structure, whilst the white hydrangeas have dozens of delicate individual petals creating a blousy bloom ….

I’ve had this cream bird cage forever & have never got round to using it, so I really loved adding some floral decorations to make it more interesting.  This is such a great way to make a statement centre piece without blocking anyone’s view across the table ….

The beautiful folds in roses never cease to amaze me.  Nature in one of it’s most glorious forms ….

And finally, a few more callas tied into an elegant over-the-arm bridal bouquet …
